Here are some common mistakes that can be done when trying to lose weight.

Always focusing on the weighing scale - There are so many factors that affect your weight scale such as your fluid intake, gain in muscle mass, your digestion activity. So don’t be upset when your weight scale doesn’t show any changes on the weighing scale. For e.g. – if you are gaining muscle mass that means you are losing on your fat mass and you will feel that you are losing on your inches which does not show any affect on weight.

Eating too many and too few calories – A low calorie diet is required when you are losing weight. This means that you need to burn more than you consume. So eating many calories will make you difficult to lose weight but on the other hand, too fewer calories will make you feel hungry and decrease your body metabolism and muscle mass.

Not exercising and exercising too much – A lack of exercising leads to loss of muscle mass whereas if you do exercise you tend to lose less muscle mass and more of fat mass and increase your body stamina but this does not mean that you can do over exercising. As over exercising may impair your hormones level. So moderation is a key to do.

Choosing low fat or diet foods - Fat free or diet foods sometimes are high in sugars and may lead to sugar cravings and then further high calorie intake.

Not eating enough proteins - High protein intake helps with weight loss by reducing appetite, gives you feeling of satiety and boosting metabolic rate.

Not having enough fibre - Eating enough fibre can help reduce appetite by filling you up so you eat less. It may also help you absorb fewer calories from other food sources.

Still drinking sugars – May be cut down on all sugar and sugar products and sweetened juices but continue to drink fruit juices, it will affect your weight loss. Now you will be asking how? It is because when you juice the fruits all the fibre present in the fruit get destroy and that sugary part will spike the sugar levels and you feel hungry after a little time. So eat whole fruits like apple, pear, papaya, raspberry, strawberry, kiwis and so on.
